Country Manager for France

My name is Ginny Boswell and I manage our distribution network in France, which involves both managing our key accounts as well as incentivising and supporting our network of independent spirits agents throughout France.

I’ve always loved travelling and trying to learn new languages from an early age. This lead me to studying French and Latin at university, and then to joining the Wemyss family a few years ago, answering an advert that lead with ‘french speaker preferred’, but even with their extensive portfolio of businesses, whisky still didn’t feature on my radar!

My parents being largely tee-total, I wasn’t introduced to whisky properly until I started becoming more involved with Wemyss Spirits portfolio, but since then I’ve loved being part of a company with a hands on approach to creating flavourful drinking experiences, and of course a particular highlight unveiling Kingsbarns single malt to the world!

I’ve now been with the company for eleven years, during which time I’ve developed our network of partners across Europe and Asia, before now being based in Paris, France.

Being based in Paris and enjoying a slightly warmer climate than back home, I am a huge fan of an after work Spritz. One of my favourites is Darnley’s Original gin with a splash of apple juice, sparkling wine, lemon zest and of course plenty of ice!

It’s very nearly impossible to name a favourite release as there’s been far too many too choose from!! Some memorable Wemyss Whiskies include a Caol Ila 1982 Single Cask Bottling ‘Smoke on the Water’, the first version of Nectar Grove blended malt at 46% and then I still have a very soft spot for Kingsbarns’ first release, Dream to Dram.
